Quite possibly among the oldest first time brides as well as first time mom's in North America I am currently enjoying the decision to "put my professional life on hold" and am in the midst of an unpaid leave of absence from my job as an elementary school principal.  The leave is in an attempt to restore some much needed balance to my life.

Armed with lots of knowledge about a wide variety of topics and a quest to teach others I am delighted to have found Hub Pages. I am able to foster my creative side while enjoying exercising my intellectual side through writing.

I am a wife and mother of a six year old child and a 4 year old golden doodle dog basking in the glow of my new role of stay at home mom!
